I am a Chartered Engineer who
retired from the Ford Motor Company after forty
productive and fulfilling years.
From 1965 to 1970 I trained as a
Vehicle Body Layout Draftsman and it was during that
time that I began to appreciate art. Visits to all the London
Art galleries formed part of our extensive
drafting training.
Although my
subjects are predominantly aviation related, they mainly reflect
the mechanical world. You will also find some excursions
into landscapes, plus a single portrait (albeit of a
horse).
I have
exhibited around Essex, in Southwark and, for the
last ten years, at the Mall Galleries in London with the Guild
of Aviation Artists http://www.gava.org.uk
In 2011 I was honoured
to be elected as an Associate of the Guild of Aviation
Artists.
In
September 2015 I was very pleased to be accepted as a Full Member
of the Guild of Motoring Artists:www.motorart.co.uk
Thank you to Bernadette Marbrow of "Wild About Art" who has mounted
and framed all my exhibited work and commissions.
